Food and beverage services at one of the UK's leading convention centres are in very good hands.

Stuart Lee has joined the team at The International Centre, in Telford, as the venue's new food and beverage manager, and he brings a wealth of experience to the post.

He previously worked as a senior operations director for a company that dealt with many venue contracts including Manchester Central, Harrogate International Centre, Bournemouth International Centre, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, and several theatres.

Stuart has also worked for a firm which deals with catering at many sporting venues across the UK.

"I'm delighted to be joining the team at Telford which really is a venue that's going places. It's a very exciting time to be here as we're just weeks away from unveiling the latest multi-million pound investment - a brand new events suite.

"And I'm looking forward to working with the food and beverages team to ensure that we build on the strong reputation that the venue already has for high quality customer service and top quality produce."

Tom Gray, chief executive of the Southwater Event Group, which owns The International Centre, said Stuart's appointment had come at just the right time.

"Our latest expansion includes our new 1300 sq m Ludlow Suite with additional seminar rooms, and it also has a second dedicated banqueting kitchen to serve the new facilities.

"So with Stuart's steer, we believe our food and beverage team is ready to launch our newest event facilities in style."
