Tattoo Freeze at Telford!
Organisers of an exciting tattoo convention were so impressed with Telford that they’re returning in 2011 – with a bigger and longer show.
The first ever Tattoo Freeze event was held at The International Centre, in Telford, last January, and was hailed as a huge success.
Now organisers have announced the 2011 convention will be held on January 15 and 16, and that it has expanded to take up all three exhibition halls at the venue.
Event Manager, Shelley Bond, said: “We were overwhelmed with the success of Tattoo Freeze 2010, and have taken the decision to expand and grow much sooner than we had planned as a result.
“We are filling all three halls of the International Centre and will hold the event over two days instead of one, so this means there is even more value for money and it really is a show for the whole family.
“We are so excited about the event and about returning to Telford, as the venue is ideally located to attract a large audience.”
Shelley said the basics of the show would be the same as last year, with tattoo artists invited from all over the world, as well as some of the world’s best custom vehicle displays and their artists.
There will also be graffiti demonstrations and workshops with the UK’s top graffiti experts, BMX and skateboard displays by both UK and European champions, a roller derby tournament, a BigTattooPlanet.com art gallery, shopping stalls, and the much-celebrated National Tattoo Photography competition.
“But we also have many new attractions for 2011 including live and interactive sculpture demonstrations, an unplugged music stage, street dance and beat box performances, and a traditional henna tattoo and body-painting zone,” said Shelley.
Tom Gray, Chief Executive of the Southwater Event Group which owns The International Centre, said he was very pleased the event was returning to the venue.
“It’s always great to see an inaugural show become such a huge success, and it’s extremely exciting to see Tattoo Freeze returning bigger and better for 2011.”
