Investment to the tune of £100,000
Southwater Event Group, which owns The Holiday Inn Telford, The International Hotel, and Grays Hotel, has replaced the TV equipment in 341 rooms across the Group.
The investment is part of a wider programme of development and refurbishment at all of the Group's properties.
So far the project has included bedroom refurbishments, as well as an ambitious programme of work at The International Centre to create additional event space.
Tom Gray, chief executive of the Southwater Event Group, said: "We know we need to continue to invest in all our properties to ensure we remain competitive in an increasingly difficult marketplace.
"Our programme of work is ongoing, and we want to make sure our guests have access to the very latest facilities no matter which of our properties they visit.
"This is an exciting time for everyone at the Southwater Event Group, and we've had an excellent response from our guests to all the effort our team has put in."
As part of the programme of redevelopment, The International Centre has just unveiled the new Ludlow Suite creating 1300sq m of additional events space with new seminar rooms and a dedicated banqueting kitchen to serve the new facilities.
It means The International Centre - which is already one of the UK's leading conference and event venues - has over 15,000sq m of event space for all kinds of events from small boardroom meetings right through to large scale conferences and exhibitions.
The unveiling of the new facilities also signals the start of the next phase of work to create a new convention quarter in the heart of Telford through a £250 million redevelopment scheme.
Southwater Event Group is working on the ambitious scheme to develop a thriving night time economy with Telford & Wrekin Council.
